Iran Says It Could Return to American Atomic Negotiations if Treated with 'Respect' and 'Respect'

Iran is willing to resume nuclear negotiations with the United States provided that it is handled with "respect" and "respect", Iran's foreign minister has stated.

Abbas Araghchi stated exclusively dialogue worked, and disclosed fresh requests had originated from intermediaries to resume negotiations with the US government. Afterward, European countries employed their right to reinstate UN-wide sanctions, but Iran insists they have not had a significant effect.

Perfect Agreement Proposed

Iran's diplomats said they felt they had achieved a "ideal resolution" to the uranium processing matter in previous talks, when it was decided an local partnership with US participation could refine atomic fuel. Both sides would have been able to claim victory since home-based processing would have continued and the US could be assured that Iran's enrichment initiative was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been agreed in the talks that Washington's technical specialists could function on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the partnership suggestion. Officials stated three times they had secured an understanding with Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff only for the arrangement to fall apart due to "detractors in America".
